Congratulations go out to the El Paseo Arts Foundation and the Laguna Madre Humane Society for yet another event that was a smashing success!

Sylvia, a play about a dog, the couple that adopts her, and the drama that ensues, kept the audience in stitches.

It was held at the beautiful South Padre Island Convention Center.

Sylvia causes quite a disturbance when Greg brings her home.  The evening performance was sold out.

Everyone knows that a SPI (South Padre Island) t-shirt is the coolest thing to own. The Laguna Madre Humane Society feels man’s best friend should not be left out.

The dog that wears this would be the envy of all the dogs on the block.

Even the size chart was adorable!

There were beautiful works of art on display for sale.

I got to meet the author of Maggie: the dog who changed my life, Dawn Kairns. Her “story of love” was nominated for the 2008 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award by the Dog Writer’s Association of America. You can find out more about her and her wonderful story here.

If you missed this, you really missed out. The crowd LOVED it! Congratulations! What a wonderful success!
